Small House with Low Maintenance Costs in Munich-Unterfoehring, Germany by Jakob Bader Architecture

Located in Munich-Unterfoehring, Germany, this small house desinged by Jakob Bader Architecture. Designed with exterior house in red paint made him stand out and create an interesting contrast with the environment. This house does not have an indoor garage, architects use building form that is more biased toward the front as a parking lot. One interesting thing, this house has “green” technology, such as geothermal pumps and air ventilation systems. Nevertheless, this simple smart homes are not viewed as sustainable projects, but more as a clever solution to a small house with low maintenance costs.
The living spaces are to the north enclosed on three sides by glass and outside by the garden. Here the planning of the house becomes obvious. The open living room, kitchen and dining spaces are arranged like a Basilica with the kitchen at the centre, the high alter of our time. The main bedroom and hidden terrace directly above the living room in the loft, are reminiscent of a winter-garden: from the bed one can observe the starry night sky, snow flakes or aeroplanes.[Jakob Bader]
