You must still remember Rubik’s Cube, a puzzle that was very successful in the ’80s. But have you ever imagined if this puzzle game is designed to be a furniture. This idea came from clab4design. Clab4design designed Rubik’s cube in its container version, as a furnishing and design item. Made from MDF (catalyzed wood fibers, ideal for coloring and quite stable), grooved so as to reproduce the effect of nine cubes per side. Each side is painted with the original cube colors. Incredible idea.
The door can be opened on touch, using just a little pressure. The hinges are aluminium, while the spring mechanism is provided by Blumm. The 4 steel feet are 2 cm tall. The Rubik’s cube container is an atypical piece of furniture for our standards, since it is not made of natural materials and finishes, although the MDF is FSC certified.[clab4design]

Inspired by the bike race event “Le Tour de France 2009”, the beauty of the bicycles and the color of the cyclist’s uniform. Baita Design tried to design a chair with a shape like a bicycle chain. Baita Design called this chair “chain”, in my opinion this is a work from extraordinary designer. And this is a picture of the “chain” chair design from Baita Design.

For those of you who get bored with the table design that looks like a box and impressed like a dead thing, you should try one of the innovations from the I-Beam Design. I-Beam Table, table that constructed from a frosted, polycarbonate, honeycomb surface. A series of LED lights are embedded just beneath the surface, and emit a sexy, soft glow when lit. The LEDs come in 7 different hues that can be changed using the desk’s control dial, allowing you to shuffle through the colors as your mood changes. Try using red to motivate action, green for warmth and coziness, and blue for relaxation. I like this table, what about you ?
